I think it may be a browser thing so using IE at the moment.
I have not been here for a few weeks so not used to the new site layout. The whole site seems very slow,or is that just me?
Rachel
I'm finding the site to be very fast myself, could be a computer thing.

Hi Rachel,
I'm sorry you're having trouble replying - you mentioned switching to IE. Can you tell me what browser you were using when you experienced the problem?
Many thanks,
Graham

I was using AOL before.
I'm having problems too.
I can reply to most threads but not the "introduction thread for RSPB super supporters"
I'm using the latest firefox browser.
H
I never had any problems using AOL on the previous incarnation of this site.
Hi H,
I think this may be unrelated - have you joined the Super Supporters group (via the Join group link top right)? I don't think you will be able to reply until you have.
Thanks for your reply. AOL acts differently to Internet Explorer and the site is quite different to before so it's possible there is some incompatibility with the AOL browser.
Can you tell me what version of AOL you have?
Thanks,
Rachel - a few thigs to try:
Clearing chache/recycle bin etc to free up some space on your computer (if memory starts getting low it can cause the computer to run slow). I highly recommend CCleaner for clearing junk out of the computer - it clears out a lot more than the standard ones that are pre-installed on the computer. Doing a disc defragmentation may also help, and also a virus scan just to make sure you have no infections that could be slowing your computer down.
Check to see if virus scans/defrag are set to run automatically on start up as this will slow the computer down. This was a problem my aunt had, I went round to see if I could sort the problem and found that somehow it had set to automatically do a virus scan or defrag (can't remember which) on every start-up.
Have you recently installed any new software onto the computer? If so, try uninstalling if possible and see if that could be causing any problems with speed.
