Please only use this thread to report your specific technical problems with the new forum here. All other comments will be deleted.
When we have read the posts we will try to add a quick edit message to acknowledge that the fault has been logged which basically means that the guys behind the scenes are on it and looking for a way to fix it!
Warden Intern at Otmoor.
Presumably, once the edit thing is sorted, we will be able to edit other posts too.
***RSPB moderator edit - hopefully we will be able to fix the issues with editing very soon, when they are fixed you should only be able to eidt your own posts***
Cheers, Linda.

As I said earlier, the delete option only remains for about 5 minutes then disappears. This is to give you a few minutes to read your post and change your mind! This has always been the case, even on the old forum.
Any post older than the 5 minutes or so cannot be deleted.

It's both what you do and the way that you do it!

Hi doggie
Ian made it clear in his post that this thread was only for reporting specific technical problems and all other posts would be deleted. There's no point in arguing about it.
My post will be deleted as well now because it doesn't contain a report of a specific technical problem
Hey Chris!! Have you read back? This is a major fault and needs rectifying PDQ. Anyone can delete previous posts providing they do it within about 5 minutes of the post. We were all discussing it.
I've got a problem, i've found i cannot reply to a specific post, for example if i click on the blue reply box in sheenas post above mine, nothing happens. I can only get the blue reply button to work that is below this text box, so cannot specifically reply to the post i want to. :-(

Hi Juno
The right hand side reply box for the last post is superfluous and doesn't work because you can use the left hand side quick reply box instead.
However, if you want to use rich formatting and quote a comment, then you choose rich formatting instead.
Doggie
I had read back to see that posts could be deleted.
It's possible that IanH or one of the moderators went through and deleted all posts that weren't reporting specific problems and somehow left the thread open for easy deletion by mistake
Best wishes Chris

Hi all, we created this thread so that we had a quick and easy way to look at specific problems you were encountering and could get them looked into asap hence why we are deleting comments in this thread that are preventing us from seeing at a glance what the real issues are. If you wish to discuss your thoughts on the new forum or have a joke with each other please do so on a different thread. This post will self delete in five seconds...four...three
Thanks.
no mention of fixing the permissions?
