Squish List

Ladies and Gentlemen (and anything inbetween)

We have many posts with issues post upgrade, can we use this thread to collect them, more chance of getting things changed.

My biggest gripe, is the default resolution, the css frame is too large for the content (although very pretty)

Temp work around use the view function of your browser ( crtl and + will work on most desktop/laptops).

Mobile devices have their own way (usually a pinch on the touch screen).

It's both what you do and the way that you do it!

  • Hi Doggie, we are looking into why you can't see the add file box and we can, some sort of permissions issue which did not show itself in the testing, we're on it though so fingers crossed a fix will be coming shortly!

  • Try it now! Apparently we may need to go through all of the galleries and check the permissions to see who can post what but you should be able to post away in the Wildlife-your photos section.

Phew! Let us know if it doesn't work!

  • Ian - just tried it and it works! :-)

  • Hi Mods,

Please can we have some clarification about where to post certain threads?

As an example,  a thread of photos, some taken in the garden, others out and about, and some requiring ID.

Or threads such as "Show us your pigeons", "show us your babies".

They are all over the place at the moment. No-one seems to know where to put them. Some are in Photography, some in Wildlife in the garden, some in the Tea Rooms, some in All Creatures. There are 2 threads for new fledgling photos - one in photography and one in wildlife in the garden. There may even be more I haven't found yet!

    Cheers, Linda.

I'm guilty as charged here. I just started a thread without thinking where I was. Is it possible to move it to Wildlife questions please?

    Best wishes Chris

  • Hi Sparrow, I think we are all finding our way around the site again at the moment so this initial confusion should subside when everyone gets used to it (fingers crossed!). We used to get some replication on the old site and threads with pictures in used to pop up in most of the forums. Now the main wildlife galleries are up feel free to post in there or use the forum map (Thanks KatTai) to find the most suitable place for the subject matter in the picture.

If we find a thread in the wrong place then we can move it, which we'll do when the dust settles, at the moment we're trying to get the niggly errors ironed out that were not possible to detect during the testing phase. Hope you can stick with us!

  • As a follow up, I've just looked at the Tea Rooms threads. The Tea Rooms seems to have become a forum for everything and anything rather than a place just for chit chat and gossip. As we can't see who started these threads without reading them, I have no idea if the original posters are newbies or not.

    Cheers, Linda.

  • No worries, we'll spend a bit of time next week making sure posts are where they should be and try to offer some guidance as well, it's been a steep learning curve this week for all of us!
