Hi All,
I heard a bird call yesterday that stopped me in my tracks, and I proceeded to listen through nearly every bird call for my county. This is assuming it is a call of a bird, so far no one knows what it might be. I thought it might possibly be a hoopoe, but the pitch seems too high to me.
It was around 4pm Saturday 11th Jan 2025 just outside Porkellis, Cornwall (Moorland habitat with a lot of willow and pine woodland).
