Hello, I wonder if someone could help me to identify this bird. I think it's either a cattle egret or a little egret. Unfortunately, the pictures aren't very clear but the yellow legs and beak suggest to me that it may be a cattle egret.
Where did you take the pic? The observation of yellow beak and legs, and the relative proportions of the bird makes me agree with your identification of Cattle Egret.
Hi Cris, the picture was taken in the road where I live. 6 houses one of which is mine, line one side of the road. The other side of the road is lined with trees which border a bec.

Picture was taken in North East...Stockton-on-Tees.
Cattle Egrets are recorded from RSPB Saltholme, not far from you, so another reason to thinks yours is the correct id.
