Play this audio clipHave this bird in my yard couple of weeks now. Finally able to record it
But don't get a conclusive answer from bird net.
Location is eastern part of Holland.
Thanks for you're help in advance.
Gr,
Jeroen
Assuming it is a bird and not a human then my first thought is that it's some sort of owl. Little Owls have a wide variety of calls so Im wondering if it could be that.
I found a couple of calls on the xeno-canto website which have some similarity to your recording. The first was recorded in France and the second in the Netherlands.

A Little Owl is not the sort of bird you would expect to find in your back yard unless perhaps you live in a rural location. What do you think? Is it even possible?

I've searched some other sounds from the little owl, they where more similar. I think you could be right. Thank you. And I live near a rural area.
