Hi all,
Quite faint but a two-syllable call that keeps up most of the day! Just trying to id it. any help appreciated. Thought it might be a Chaffinch or Warbler call?
Thank you.

Both Chaffinch and Chiffchaff have a similar contact call which is often described as "hueet". Here's a couple of typical examples.
Chaffinch

Chiffchaff
The Chaffinch contact call is a bit more varied than the Chiffchaff
If the call goes on for hours my money would be on Chaffinch

That's brilliant Tony many thanks and so helpful. It's definitely the Chiffchaff it's so distinctively that call I can hear that now. Really good recordings! Thanks a bunch. Robert.

I should have made it clear that these are not my recordings but from xeno-canto.org which is a good source of bird songs/calls throughout the world.
I should also have mentioned that the Willow Warbler has a similar contact call but Chiffchaff is one you are mostly likely to hear.
Many thanks Tony I know where to look now! :-) Best Robert.
