I was at RSPB South Stack last week and spotted this bird hopping about in the grassy tussocks, initially I thought it was another pipit as I had already seen a meadow pipit, it was a similar size but slightly smaller. As I took more photos though I started to doubt. The beak shape seems wrong, but maybe it's a young pipit? The legs and beak are black, which is what confused me earlier.
The pattern on the wings looks more akin to a sparrow but the beak is not particularly sparrow-like.
Looks like a female Stonechat to me but best wait for another opinion ;-)
