One of our nest camera boxes had a resident pair of sparrows with 4 chicks about 5 days old. We were horrified last week to see another female Sparrow fighting & killing the chicks parents in the nest & then the chicks too. She has now set up house in the box & laid her first egg today. Is this normal behaviour?

I am glad and sad the you recorded this but nest sites are hard to come by these days so this might have been the cause but I am no expert

Another pair nested nearby in our neighbour's roof James. Not sure if they are still there as not seeing any activity. Have wondered if they failed for some reason & could possibly have attacked our nest.
