PEREGRINE FALCONS

They are currently nesting in a disused quarry near my house. A planning application has been submitted to start extraction from a nearby site. There is no other quarrying nearby, all sites are disused. Will this disturb the Peregrines ?? Please could somebody help me asses the impact of a new development . I am VERY VERY concerned .
