I thought we had seen the last of it, but it's snowing heavy here. we have had an inch already!
I was happy this morning because my little wren came back.
all the ground food has been buried, and the blackbird are having to dig for their food.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Yep, lots of snow here as well, feeders all topped up and apples sliced and deposited around garden. Although we are also having quite a thaw as well now.
Very wet everywhere so I've walked to the corner shop and bought back lots of Chocolate.. just in case we are snowed in.!
Where i work is having an Open Day next Sunday, a Crocus day for local Hospices, so far very flower has failed to show due to the cold, and this snow wont have helped.! eek.

I too was hoping for a day out, nothing too far away, just was going to go to RSPB Sandwell Valley. But in all honesty even though its not a lot of snow, it has put me off and now I'm staying in.
Roll on spring, I'm tired of having plans squashed by bad weather!
(London) We had heavy rain on top of a frosty night. Walking the dog in it was precarious as the puddles had ice at the bottom.
Sun has but in a brief appearence so fingers crossed
Sarah
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

Far too much of the white stuff here in Bedfordshire - slightly miffed by the forecast. The few bits and pieces that I have just put out for the hoards of the Starlings that have just arrived in a neighbours ash tree have now been swapped by thousands of starling footprints!
Hi MrsT
Yes, it was a shock to hear about the white stuff in Bedford once more. The snow is falling as i am posting at this moment of time. The snow flakes are light but it is enough to put the Luton airport to a grinding halt once more.
Dave is supposed to be in Glasgow at work by now. Sadly, no joy until it is safe to fly! Hope Glasgow airport is alright with the weather today.
The Sparrows in my front garden have made their presence known this morning. They are very happy to have their food stuff at the moment.
Regards
Kathy and Dave
