I thought we had seen the last of it, but it's snowing heavy here. we have had an inch already!
I was happy this morning because my little wren came back.
all the ground food has been buried, and the blackbird are having to dig for their food.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi Janet,
No snow here at all, and none forecast, but the forecast is for heavy snow right across the Midlands. Poor you, just as we thought spring was round the corner.
Glad your little wren is OK.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Janet
Weather seems to be all over the place at the moment, we had wall to wall rain on Tuesday and then brilliant crisp sunny day yesterday, today we had freezing fog during the night and this morning, with sleety snow.
Likewise with your Wren, hope it remains okay and this weather your'e getting soon disappears.
Regards
Kerry

it snowed all night here, all the food was covered. the tits, greenfinches, chaffinches are still eating me out of sunflower seeds, the goldfinches are doing a good job of eating the nijer seeds, my garden is bursting at the seams with birds at the moment.
Hi all
This was my garden this morning, still snowing!!
but when it did stop for a while i had a red wing visting, it was eating from the gound feederbut by the time i got my camera it was up in the tree.
I don't think we have seen the last of the snow here, we still got more to come. :-(
Same here with the snow, and not expected. The forecast was for it to remain dry!! I couldn't believe it when I opened the curtains.
What is that little bird next to the starling?
Hi Janet, great pictures, makes me shiver just to look at them.
Wall to wall rain here - think I'd prefer the snow to be honest.
You've had more snow than we have, Janet!
I woke up at 5am this morning and looked out of the window and it was snowing quite heavily. But the sun has been out most of the morning so its thawing nicely...more to come apparently though!
Hi Sparrow
Its a redwing, not very good because he was hiding :-)

All our snow is melting away in the sunshine at the moment, it's still cold though!

Thanks Janet. I should have known, but as I am about the only person in the UK who hasn't seen one, it isn't surprising.
