Since i moved in I have had one wagtail vist me every day but today he brought a freind, he is always here the first at the food, he comes right upto my door.
Even in the snow you can always count on him being one of the first in the garden.
Hey farmer, farmer, put away the D.D.T now. Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
Hi Janet,
Wonderfull news about your wagtail, we have 1 that comes now and again, hes always out the front on the road (quiet country lane) and on the old stone wall. We did have a grey wagtail when we had snow but that was a one off , lol

If it aint broken, dont fix it !.... all good things come to those who wait !
Aren't they lovely little birds. What are yours eating, Janet?
I had one arrive during the snow. He came every day for a while then disappeared for 2 weeks. He came back the other day, but has gone again. I found he wasn't worried about me watching him through the glass doors and didn't mind my camera.
Cheers, Linda.
See my photos on Flickr
they are eating the mix I make,
brown bread
cheese
fine chopped peanuts
Apples
I have now added more to my mix.

all the birds like it, gound feeding birds that is.
oh and I do find them very friendly.
I do think this may be his mate, as they are always together now.

Sure thing Sparrow.
would you like to sit near the woodpigeons?
there is a space next to the blackbirds, and i'm sure the robins and starling won't mind. and if your lucky there may be space at the sparrows table, made for you.
You did ask Sparrow. Janet, can't wait to see photograph of Sparrow sitting on the table !
LOL Brenda, I've had photos taken in worse places!
Thanks Janet, I think I'll have a seat with the sparrows - but no peanuts as they make me sick, and definitely no photos!!!
I hope someone can answer your questions about the wagtails nesting habits.
Hi Janet not a reply to any questions as such but I thought whilst on the subject of Wagtails I would show you this very wet wagtail taken at Cromer!
Keep Norfolk for birds
Nice clear photo Pinkfoot, mine was taken though my window.
oh come on Sparrow I'm sure every one would like to see a photo of you sitting down to tea with my Sparrows!
