Alright,
Basically I have every feeder under the sun.
I used to have robins, house sparrows, dunnocks, starlings, a blackbird and the occasional blue tit.
Everybody says 'be patient, they will come' but I have been feeding the birds for 1 year and they have all disappeared!
HELP!
Birding , Birding, Birding !
Woodpecker said:I prefer to use sunflower hearts so that I don't get piles of husks on my lawn. However, with these I find some smaller birds fly in, grab one and take it away to eat it in a tree rather than eating it at the feeding station.
All my tits do this, especially the coal tits. Grab and go. I have just bought some sunflower heart chips, which are said to be husk free, no mess, no waste. I haven't tried them yet.
Cheers, Linda.

Hi Sparrow, Yes you're right it is the tits that usually do this in my garden too.
It's their version of 'fast food' :-)
Best wishes Chris

Give me spots on my apples, but leave me the birds and the bees, please!
