"Miss are pigeons s'posed to go on the feeders?"
(In the middle of English). He was too busy in his own little world gawping out the window at a wood pigeon flapping on the sunflower heart feeder. Bless him.
I should've be annoyed that he wasn't on task but I was quite pleased that this particular lad was watching the birds & interested in them.
I said "well they're not supposed to but they often do". I thought of everyone moaning about it on here & smiled.
A lovely sweet story. Shows he has an enquiring mind.
Hi Brenda,
I hope I've lured him in to bird feeding. Some of my other lads were talking about feeding the birds in their gardens today too. One lad likes to play a game with his robin, by putting food in a different place to give him 'enrichment'. Something to do. He likes to watch & time him how long it takes him to find it. I said that's a good idea but not in severe weather & spring as they need to find the food quickly.
Goodnight everyone, it's late & I need my bed :-O (yawn)
We had Food Tech today, kids were throwing their cakes out for the birds, much to the birds delight.
