We have a pair of collared doves nesting in their usual place in our garden in temperatures as low as minus 5 degrees C. Do they stand any chance of hatching an egg in this extreme weather ? Its now January 12th and we have seen 2 eggs in the nest, are these eggs likely to survive the oncoming blizzard?
Although Collared Doves do appear to be affectionate towards one another all the time and give the impression of 'courting'. I don't think they breed until March but with this crazy climate who knows :)

I can't help with your question, but wanted to say welcome to the forum. I have a couple of pairs of collared doves. They are beautiful birds to observe.
