Hello Sandra, wellcome to the forum, but I think we have a problem with an established member already posting under the name of Blackbird. There is already an existing problem for two people called waxwing which is all on another thread.
We had an answer yesterday from RSPB that they often have various reports of birds having young early, so I think your wood pigeon is possibly one of these. One of the early nests is in traffic lights in Leeds.
All the pigeon family seem to have young at the drop of a hat at any time of year! It's not unheard of to get babies so early.
A closed mouth gathers no foot.
ok user name changed, to sandy
Thanks Sandy.

Hi Sandy, I don't think I have said this elsewhere so welcome to the forum, it's good to have you join us.
The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
Hi sandy and also welcome to the forums ;).
