My husband and I both spotted a golden eagle while travelling north on the B7076 (parallel to the M74) just after passing Lockerbie on Friday 27th November at about 11:am. Is this unusual?
Ospreys Rule OK, but Goldfinches come a close second!
Dumfries Bird Club (SOC Branch) members confirmed at tonight's meetings other sightings of Golden Eagle near Lockerbie!

What can I say other than you are very honoured to have seen one.
Good idea to talk to the SOC people, as they will give you more information on the birds local to you
I saw a Golden Eagle in the far distance while in the Highlands of Scotland years ago,
Still remember the mewing calls echoing off the mountains for miles - quite errie to listen too.
