Hi
This is my first time on the forum so I apologise if I've listed this in the wrong place!
My problem is that an old pub down the road has recently been bought and builders have started work. This has caused some rats that obviously lived there to come scurrying into our gardens.
So far I've only seen one (yes it's definitely the same one). It seems to move between a few gardens but unfortunately when it enters mine it gets food from the bird seed that gets thrown on the floor by the birds while they hang on their feeders.
I dont believe in kill-traps or poisons (especially since we have a couple of hedgehogs in our garden) and this critter seems smart enough that he has never been caught in our humane trap (but the hedgehogs do!)
Is there anything anyone can recommend for capturing / driving away this animal? I have tried stopping feeding the birds for a while so there is no food caused by them but he still persists in visiting our garden.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
