Lone sparrow visitor

For the last week or so, we've woken up to a lone sparrow sleeping in our window bird feeder. We have often had a group of sparrows visit in the past, but this one comes on its lonesome.

They look quite scruffy and appear to be breathing quite fast at times but has still continued to visit each day and sleep in the feeder.

Unsure if we need to be concerned about them or not. And if we are concerned I'm not sure what we can do? If they wake up and see us near they fly away fine.

I've attached a photo of how we find them each day. Please excuse the mess of the window!

  • Here is a video I took of them as I got home, they spend so much time in there
