Hi
we have a magpie in our garden (which is secure with trees and shelter). It has a broken wing and has been with us a week. I’ve been feeding it bird seed and berries. Tried to catch it to take to our local vets but it runs off. Contacted local wildlife centres and they’re not interested.
feel sorry for the poor thing. Question is how long will it survive? And is there any more I can do

There is no more you can do other than keep supplying food ... I used to have visits from an adult with a trailing wonky wing & a damaged foot one year and was most surprised to see it returning to my garden the following with a youngster which it was feeding ... so it is possible for some injured birds to heal and adapt!
