Hi everyone,
I live in Kentish Town which is in the Borough of Camden NW5. London. For the past week or two I have been hearing the beautiful call of the cuckoo which sounds quite close by.
I am originally from the countryside and haven’t heard it’s call since I was a young girl. I’m now 62. It was so lovely to hear and hope it continues but I know it will fly off at some stage.
just wanted to share to all the bird lovers out there.

Very nice Ann, I have only heard one and saw one once, and on the same night, a few weeks ago.A little beauty, it landed on the fence post on front of me. Just to mention, you may want to change your user name from your personal email. This is an open site, anyone can view, you could end with up with unwanted rubbish, spam etc. To change, click the wee circle top right, go into profile, go into edit profile, you will see this down on the right, change your name in the top left box and save profile.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
