Hoping for some advice. Discovered a duck nest with 10 eggs, mum came back and is happily sitting on them. I do have a dog who generally leaves the ducks alone when they come into the garden. I am worried though about keeping them safe from him. Would it be wise to put something to block him just in case he tries to investigate that area? They are quite well hidden.
If you can block his access without disturbing her that might be best. Once they hatch they might be tempting little morsels - she will also need to take them away to a water source within 24 hours of them hatching
