Beneath were two starlings who appeared to be 'tussling' in the grass (not short and not very long). Then 4 more joined in swirling above before disappearing. The original hovering starling went off too. Then the two 'disentangled' themselves and flew off one after another. All within a minute or two. I've never seen this activity before. Was it just a squabble?
