Hello, can anyone please advise if this is a jay or not? I thought it was, but it has a very speckled chest and has a juvenile with it, which looks like a young blackbird, but has a very pale, yellowish-white speckled chest. The adult has been on my garden for a few weeks, eating the fallen apples. Thank you !

Post edit: I doubt very much it will have a juvenile with it these birds are winter visitors to the UK from Scandinavia
(Pardon the Scottish Accent)
It seems to have a juvenile with it. Very similar markings on the chest and when one of the blackbirds went to run the ‘juvenile’ away, the adult ff came out of seemingly nowhere, to run the blackbird off.
Hello, thank you. Yes, aware re time of year not being usual, but the ff is keeping other birds away from it. Could be a redwing with it; I’ll post a photo when it is next out. Thanks again. Clearly new to birdwatching, but loving learning.
