I grow a lot of butternut squash. Can I feed the squash seeds to the birds please? Should they be roasted first ? I read somewhere they like the skins too ? Any advice appreciated. Thankyou….Rosie

I'm not an expert on bird digestive systems.

However, domesticated jungle fowl (i.e. hens) will happily demolish a pumpkin (another type of squash), Raw. Rind, seeds and all. And live happily.

Beyond that, like I said - I'm not an expert on bird digestive systems.
