Swans and Canada Geese

Thanks - I am told it is actually the female. Yesterday she persisted until the whole flock of geese was persuaded it was safer on the grass. Today though she exhibited a different behaviour and came out of the lake and had a go at a group of ducks who were feeding on bird food on the grass, but once she had driven them off seemed to lose interest and went off to have a desultory go at the geese again.
The geese seemed to be having a dispute amongst themselves , although there were far fewer than recently.

Maybe she felt the need to protect her youngsters?

PMT? Or are we not allowed to say that any more?

I'm convinced she just does it because it's fun - the cygnets are as big as she is and I've seen them pushing ducks away - and both parents sometimes leave them unaccompanied .

Maybe she does get bored! Lol Must be very interesting to have this view of the Swan family's interraction with the Geese!
