Would a 2nd pigeon pair use an old nest? If not, we've got 3rd brood of the summer being (presumably) incubated.
You talking about wood pigeons PB...mines are on their 3rd ...taking a few more twigs into exactly same nest area again and just done the deed on my pergola....no shame!!! Woodpigeons are on the increase around here!!!
