It was bigger than a robin, entirely grey with a black cap and a black tail and a hooked beak that was eating the seeds off of my forget-me-nots in my garden in the New Forest. From the bird identifiers it doesn't appear to be a black cap, from what I saw of its distinctive hooked beak and black tail.
