Hi, Lately i seem to have a Hooded Crow that sits on the fence at the back of my house and repeatedly flies into the window of my son's bedroom, it also does the same to our garage window closeby around...

Wood pigeons nesting on my balcony

Hi I am not sure what to do. We live in town area, UK. A while ago a pair of wood pigeons started coming to our balcony' bird feeder. A few days ago they started making a nest in artificial Xmas tree on our balcony (don't ask :). It's wonderful to watch these birds at such close range, behind the window. But I am worried that there will be problems with droppings, noise and fleas. Should we remove the nest now preventing potential issues or am I worried without reason? Many thanks.

Hi Lera...am afraid there ain't much you can do....its would be unlawful to interfere or remove the nest...birds and their nests are protected by law. Only safe time to remove a nest is when nesting season is over...usually October for woodpigeons is the safest time...to be fair you did entice the birds there in 1st place with the feeders.... ;-)
