Hi
i have recently found a large grass snake in my garden which I’d like to relocate to a suitable forest near my home.
We have two dogs, three cats and a toad ponds. I’m concerned the dogs will attack the snake and the snake will eat the toads! Hence my desire to move the snake to a new location.
please can you advise the best time and method to move the snake.
many thanks
It’s usually disencuraged to remove grass snakes from Gardens but you can disencourage them from visiting. but the Amphibian Conservation trust have some infomation that might be helpfulI including about finding a snake when you have other amphibians frogs and toads and you can also contact them for Advise aswellhttps://www.arc-trust.org/snakes-in-gardens
