Wildlife questions Hen Harrier

I'm fairly certain I spotted a Hen Harrier on a moor near Ipstones in the North Staffordshire Moorlands. Is this possible? That seems to be a few miles outside of its designated range

Tim, I'm not familiar with that area but checking through some raptor group records I think you may be right. Birds are not always where we expect them to be which can be a bit of a nuisance. Seriously it may have been just passing through the area.It may be worth reporting it at henharriers@rspb.org.uk
