I want to deter Jackdaws but not small birds would a shiny cd do the trick?

I have lots of Jackdaws hanging on the caged feeder and stopping the few brave small birds from feeding. I have hung a shiny dvd underneath but now nobody is coming.

    Sorry no-one has replied ...this question pops up alot...if only we could pick and choose what birds we wanna feed. I presume it's fat ball or suet the jackdaws are after?
    You could set up a separate feeding station elsewhere in the garden in hope that the jackdaws go there for the fat and put a seed station for the smaller birds elsewhere, only a suggestion am afraid as at this time of year there is plenty of natural food around for all birds so no need really to feed them until winter when food is more scarce ;-)
