Wing flapping noise

Wing flapping noise

Hi everyone, happy Easter!! I can hear wings flapping coming from this turret, this is not a chimney, just part of the villa designs here in spain.  There are many sparrows here the use this too part of the villa as their own little houses. This evening I can hear wings flapping inside the turret in the photo.  Could it just be a baby learning to use it’s wings or could it be a sparrow that is stuck and if so is there anything I can do to help.  Many thanks to everyone in advance.  Louise

  • Are they hollow inside or do they have a platform? It looks a bit like a Colombier so it could be pigeons and they wing clap when mating - lots going on around here at the moment

  • Hi Cin J, thanks so much for your reply, I very much appreciate it. Yes the turret type tower is hollow inside, I don’t know how deep or how it looks inside. The only birds that fly in and out of there are sparrows. We don’t seem to have any pigeons on this development in spain. I will try and take a video now in case you can hear the audio to help. It sounds like just one bird inside and I worry it’s stuck but not sure even how I could help if it is….

  • Oh dear, that does sound like something might be struggling to get out. Not sure how you can deal with that
