I've got lots of birds in my garden and have spotted a few I can't identify, despite looking in my books etc. Illustrations aren't always great and even on the internet and photos i can't find a definite bird that matches what I've seen. I've tagged various comments about each one.
MYSTERY BIRD NO. 1 I have no idea about this bird, pictured in the two pics above. Clearly it's a juvenile etc but which bird?
MYSTERY BIRD NO. 2 This beauty in the three pics above (taken at same time so definitely all the same bird) has appeared recently and I thought she may be a juvenile starling at first, but then I decided a thrush, but I'm still not convinced. She (or he) does not mix or get on with the starlings and her behaviour seems different to a blackbird's too. She does a bobbing action too, as though her legs don't support her for long. She's very nervy too and I haven't seen her walk like a blackbird or a starling either. Any ideas?
MYSTERY BIRD NO.3 No idea re. the above bird so any help greatly appreciated. Looked like a juvenile to me but was significantly bigger than a chaffinch.
Mystery Bird NO. 4 The above, I figured was a sparrow but someone else said not. Again, I can't see anything that quite resembles this. I've got lots of these, whatever they are.
Sorry there's so many pics and birds guys and girls, but some of you out there like this sort of thing, puzzles (or maybe they're all bog standard obvious birds I've discarded as possibilities). Hope you can help.
Hello 3 and 4 look like definate sparrows to me. :)
Hi
the top bird is a female House sparrow :)
The second bird as you surmised is a juvenile starling.
the last bird is a male House sparrow:)
