I was lucky enough to have blue tits take residence in a new nest box. Feeding activity has gone on for at leat 2 weeks but syddenly there seem to be no sign of the birds. I wonder hoe quickly the chicks depart from the nest and if I've missed the event.
Thanks
Hi, Barry
Yes - Blue Tit young fledge at anything from 18-21 days, so you saying that feeding went on for at least two weeks may indicate that you did, indeed, miss the leaving party. Selfish of them, really, after you provided a home and all! Better luck next year.

Thanks.
How quick does the deprture happen then?
