Are they going to release them or not?

Hi think it will happen but it seems essential to get the landowners reservations sorted out if possible as it will be a massive undertaking to protect them from persecution and eventually they will have to probably have the nests guarded when they do breed.For these reasons and perhaps to get organised think the scheme will hopefully start next year rather than this year.For sure they will need lots of volunteers from local people when breeding,at least that is my opinion.Good blogs on Mull Eagles and East Scotland Sea Eagles. .

It would be a shame if the local pig farmers etc manage to prevent the release programme by giving the Eagles a bad press. This wouldn't bode well for the future if WTEs eventually introduced themselves to the Suffolk Coast as would probably happen.

I'd certainly travel to the area and spend money on accommodation etc if I thought I had a good chance of seeing a WTE. No doubt many other would think the same.
