I am an Idiot! My Bedroom is on the 2nd Floor and I have a direct view of the Garden. I also have a nest Box next to my Bedroom window. Today I saw 2 Blue tits in the apple tree. Nothing Unusual about that? Im sure you wonder.
Well. One of them flew straight for the box and I tried to get out the way and It was inches but....

It saw me and turned around.

I would try to keep well out of the way for a while. I do think birds have a short memory compared with us so keep a low profile when the Blue Tit is around. Of course the window 'Nest Box' issue is there too
To be honest, birds do adjust but it is just being calm in your movements, and not to scare the birds in any way at all. They do re-adapt to your movements at the end of the day.
It takes practice from yourself, and I believe you will win the birds over (been there done it before!!)
