Stunned Coal tit!

Question

I have just picked up a coal tit from the path outside my back door. I think it must have flown into the window as I can't think what else could have caused it to end up sitting on the path. 
 I have read the advice on the website and put it into a dark box hoping that it will be ok. I am now keeping my fingers crossed. Is there anything else I should be doing for it.

Not for the moment - if it's let you pick it up then chances are your suspicions are right, and you've done exactly the right thing. Leave the box somewhere quiet for at least an hour then take it back to where you found it to release it. If it's in shock it probably won't be interested in food or water for the time being, but it may need something to give it some energy to get it on its way on release.
