I have a somewhat strange question to ask. My friend is co-writing a television series at the moment, and part of it involves a field full of poppies. He would like to know what birds - if any - would be likely to eat the seeds from poppies - actually from the plant itself, and not just put out as feed in gardens.
It is set in Britain, and needs to be fairly accurate. I haven't got a clue, so I said I'd find out for him - can anybody help me?
Thank you all in advance!
Regards,
Anna :)
Hi Annabanana,
Just had a look In a book Iv'e got and I found a few lines It says Field poppies are still a fairly common sight in pastureland.Sparrows and Dunnocks feed on the seeds.
