Hi there
What has been going on here with 70 deaths of birds in the park
They are some sick people around, and it includes the death of a dog

So sad to read this
I just despair at times

It is obviously another case of waiting for the results of the tests and finding out for sure what the cause is. Glad to see that all precautions are being taken and the area is cordoned off, but they can't keep the birds away, poor things.
What a shame. As the dog also died it sounds like poison or pollution.
Cheers, Linda.

Another very sad story.
I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

Hi Blackbird see in the paper two people arrested from nearby Forest Gate for allegedly dumping deadly pesticide.
Nasty! I hope they find out the cause soon.
There is something new to learn everyday...

Hope the two arrested are given an appropriate sentence once proven of course !!

Thank you for your information Sooty
Yes, according to the press two people have been arrested at the moment
It will be good if the two that where caught where responsible simply because it will be another forgotten case in the months to come.

another 2 clips from the local Press in the area
Good point Blackbird perhaps the biggest pity is they probably didn't realise what concequences of their action could be and perhaps no easy place to dispose of whatever they had but of course please don't think I am defending them.
This is horrendous! It is one thing to have piece of mind that the birds are being analysed by the VLA to establish a cause of death but I sure hope that the Environment Agency have been looking at the site to get it cleared up ASAP. Does anyone know of an ongoing clean up operation? I’m sure they should/would be looking into this.
