Just got a text from my friend - she has been watching a pair of swans for years and they had six cygnets two weeks ago. She text me today to tell me all six cygnets AND both parents have been shot dead with an air rifle :-( There are some sick, twisted people out there and it is high time air rifles were under the same restrictions as other guns! People shouldn't be able to pick up an air rifle like a toy waterpistol.

[/quote]Anybody who reads my input on the forum will know know how I feel about bird of prey persecution living in an area that has a poor name for ir.Not sure that the Cumbrian Red Kite incident can be blamed on the game shooting fraternity as Kites are not a great problem to them and I'm not sure the area is big on game shooting.
