Again, probably the wrong forum but not sure where else I can put this! It is wildlife on the web, but still, not moving!!
It's the winners of the above mentioned competition! I love wolves to the winner caught my eye!!

Plenty more in the galleries to browse through too!

Thanks for the link, Marjus. Superb photograph and yet not the usual photograph one would expect to see of a wolf.
Hi MarJus, thanks for that link. I did a bit of digging further into the site and the link below should show the runners-up as well, if you are interested.

The necessity of bird-watching is a really good reason for avoiding all forms of housework.
The dust will still be there tomorrow - the birds may not be!
I love the winning photo! Another great choice by the judges!
Millie & Fly the Border Collies
HI MarJus
What a great shot - now if I could just get my cat to do that while chasing a mouse (also over a gate) do you think I could be in with a chance?!!!

Make sure you get the mouse in the piicture as well, and then you're a cert. !
Squirrel, thanks for link. Some fantastic pictures there. I love the Young Photographers picture as well. Rather impressive the time they are prepared to wait and how they plan to get the actual picture they want.
I was rather impressed with Clash of the Yellowhammers. But I do agree, the patience these photographers display is admirable. I'm more the "point, shoot and hope" brigade!
Lol Kezmo! Better get your cat into training!!
Now I know I'm going to be controversial here, but although I think the overall winner is superb (as I said, I adore wolves), I do have a slight prejudice against the way it was taken, as although I appreciate that it took the photographer months to plan it and then the skill to set the 'trap' up, it doesn't change the fact that it wasn't actually him that pressed that shutter! The young lad with the yellowhammers for me shows far more skill as he did sit and wait, then pressed the button himself to capture a fantastic image!! All the hares are stunning too! Can only dream of achieving something like that myself with 'my' beloved hares...! Another favourite is the cat & fox!! Brilliant!
Excellent images. I'm not into photography myself - just take snaps cos I like to have minders, but I have to agree with you Marjus, the Yellowhammers would have been my choice. All of them very deserving.
Oh dear, seems the 'winner' was a set up! http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/news/Wildlife_photographer_stripped_of_coveted_Veolia_title_update_1155am_news_294010.html
Shame as it was a stunning photo but pleased he was 'caught' as it would be so unfair to those that had really spent many hours of dedication to get their photo!
