In 2022, four Barn Owlets, deemed to be 3 females and 1 male (the youngest), successfully fledged.
Here they are at their ringing day on 7.7.22
Hopefully, the resident pair will successfully breed in the nest box again this season.
She's still there
Edit: 7:47 ENS
The female entered the box and has been calling numerous times
And she continued calling non-stop! (Pics are only examples during her session)
She finally stopped calling
The female scraped at the flooring
Into the corner to break up pellets
She found another on on the left side and proceeded to break that one up too
Cleaning her talons
Where is he, sweetheart?
Cleaning her talons again
She exited the box
The female has visited again this evening
She had been checking the flooring before looking towards the exit
She heard something and backed up
She assumed her mating position in the back left corner
Sadly, no visitor
She moved to the centre of the box
Hello gorgeous!
She left
9.5.23 I checked the cam to find the female in the box
Preening
Just before leaving
17.5.23 Great news - the male was seen in the box with the female last night! Pic copied over from chat
The female was also in tonight briefly (again, copied over from chat)
The male was last seen on 18th April - now where has he been since then?
According to chat she was in most of day 25th...
