In 2022, four Barn Owlets, deemed to be 3 females and 1 male (the youngest), successfully fledged.
Here they are at their ringing day on 7.7.22
Hopefully, the resident pair will successfully breed in the nest box again this season.
The female arrived
The pellet was scraped out from the unseen part of the flooring, below the cam
Beautiful
Well, hello to you too!
She exited the box
Just came across this visitor

Looks like she's smiling!
I may have missed a mating while switching from my laptop to my phone
Well, it's not my night again! Something occurred as I'd stepped away to get back to my laptop, perhaps a mating (or attempted one)? The odd feather had floated in the box as if a/the male had just left. The female wasn't happy!
I'm going to sign off, perhaps a better evening tomorrow!
Edit: There were some more occurrences - I'll add some snaps in the morning
Morning,
ENS.
Pics from last night (cont'd)
I assume there had been mating, male at the exit
She wandered over and started to dig at the flooring
Unsure what happened at the moment he came back into the box but she was calling
Heard something?
She had moved to stand beside him. The male rushed towards the exit and then went out
No-one on chat has posted events of yesterday evening so nothing to report on to fill in the gaps that I missed, unfortunately
