In 2022, four Barn Owlets, deemed to be 3 females and 1 male (the youngest), successfully fledged.
Here they are at their ringing day on 7.7.22
Hopefully, the resident pair will successfully breed in the nest box again this season.
I hope the male brings her back some of the prey as a mating gift!
Aww...
Thought the male was coming back in, she was calling
The female's been checking/beaking all around the flooring, perhaps looking for the prey?
She took a step back
She left
Back in
Calling
He didn't appear so began to break up some pellets
She held this stare for quite a while (check the time stamps)
She wandered around the box again, checking the flooring afterwards
She is such a stunning owl!
Just about to exit the box
Signing off now. Goodnight
Good morning lovely
She's still in the box
The female arrived a short time ago and appeared to be calling
She'd left the box!
