When I looked the Eggs had been disturbed, so, I scrolled back .....and!!!
making itself at home,
was soon joined by mate with lots of loving
but a short while later disturbed poss by pidggy outside.
so leaves to investigate
remainer continues to preen ,till also leaving.
and also leaves
and still an hour after I first looked , just the scattered Eggs,
Lorton Two still happy
Maybe both Nests second brood ?
AND later a quick stick nest building attempt, before darting off
Great captures Kate, just a couple of Lorton tail shots
Still trying to get tail of LH owl!
This any good.
Thanks Kate, they both look like female tails to me?
Evening Kate and Wendy...you called? lol
My opinion is that the BOs in the box are the original parents of this year's brood. I've checked through this thread and there are striking similarities with their tail markings
Kate's pics taken on:
1) 22.2.22 (female on the right)
2) 26.4.22 (male on the right)
Taken from scroll back today (female)
Male at the back of the box
What do you think?
Thank you Sandra, I can see from your examples that the male's tail markings are similar but not as well defined as the female's ... is there a difference on the facial disc too with the female's being more well defined??
We have been well oracled! Lol
