As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

In answer to that question, yes!
9 eggs laid: Incubation period is 30-31 days
Hatches:
1st chick - 21.5.21 2nd chick - 23.5.22 3rd chick - 24.5.22 4th chick - 26.5.22 5th chick - 29.5.22 6th chick - 2.6.22 7th chick - ??? 8th chick - 5.6.22
Morning Kate, I've been watching too. 5 chicks BUT one is a tiny who is struggling... Still 3 eggs.
Mum going out
This was tiny's little wing moving, I think it was on its side
She came back looking very damp moments ago with a small rodent which she handed over. Scene as she entered (I only caught the top of her head so omitted her from this pic)
She's went out again and now back with another prey item. She left again
She's just arrived with prey again, larger this time, and beginning a feed
Oh gosh, what a time to have power cuts, Kate!
and returns again and retrieve from the grabbing bunch to feed.them all.

Ahh, I thought she was feeding from the large prey item she brought in? (see my pic above)
One chick with a chunk of prey that it was given at the end of the feed
This could be the earlier one that she moved?
She's started another feed
Prey was too big for the chick so dropped it. Mum moved it
