As with the 2020 season, barn owls did not use the box for breeding in 2021, will this year be different?

Well look what a few minutes I captured,
First she was eating prey.
Gulp!!! all down in one go.
She was just about to give up on further forage, when whoo hoo he appears with Prey but wont let her have it.
after trying all the kissing she gives up and he gets what he really wants. CHOL:)
and Thank you very much I will leave my offering for you for later....I am off
....
Ahh, so that's what this is!
Super captures, Kate and how wonderful that you managed to see the male with a prey drop! Many thanks!
I missed the original male in the box at 22:00 (pics on chat).
I could kick myself as I'd stepped away from the cam after I'd taken this pic a minute or so before he arrived!
An overhead wing stretch by the female before exiting the box
Back after her almost 7 minute comfort break
To note: the prey is still there
wonder if she can hear her chicks, noticed yesterday she was off the eggs a good bit of time.
A wander around then she settled back on the eggs after this pic
Is this wishful thinking with a blip?
Hmm, a possibility there, Kate! Well done for spotting it.
There appears to be cached prey here?
Chat shows pics of the original male in the box at 20:45 (his eye semi-open). Matting occurred but it is stated that no prey was delivered. Another chatter has posted a pic showing the female at 21:03 with prey (I'd imagine the cached one in my pic)
The female was digging in the flooring and then I noticed that the prey at the front had gone. I bet she had eaten while my back was turned! (and yes, Kate...oh for scroll back!)
