I don't blame you, GB, but as usual some irrational force within me says that my "support" will make a difference.  Duh!

As I type Yurruga is having a lie down just inside the ledge - here was his/her get-go this morning, vigorous, demanding:

Yurruga is on his/her own trying to pluck his/her own afternoon tea.

(I'm posting that as a time marker for when I go thru the footage much later in the day.)

Charming little episode:

"Yurruga fledges @ 06:03:55 on Monday 22 November"... and flew off in the "wrong" direction from our point of view.  I shall be checking on the Chat for obs from Dr Cilla and others.

Ooooh Scylla, that took me by surprise, still so fluffy but looked like a very calculated & determined fly off!

Oh, I was not expecting that Yurruga would fly quite so soon! I went to Cilla's YouTube Box cam chat and found a link to a photo of Yurruga in a tree. See: https://imgur.com/a/OjBMKsO . Seems Cilla retrieved him/her from the ground and placed him/her in a tree, seemingly unharmed. Chatters are speculating that Yurruga will probably visit the nest again once he is strong enough to fly up to it. Both parents know where Yurruga is.

Here's a long video of the egg removal saga, which took much longer and was much noisier than I remember from the past (tho... how many egg removals have I really seen?).

Quite a lot of this is real time, so we can see (especially) Diamond's reactions - she was very concerned and ever so brave but didn't attack The Gloved Hand  

Then, was it Xavier who came and scraped?  Neat and dark, very orangy legs/feet.

Yes, Scylla, looks very likely we posted about the same time! Fingers crossed that Yurruga continues to thrive and reappears for us in a week or two. It would be lovely if he/she hung around the scrape for ages like his/her older brother last year.
